HISTORY

The Union of the Sugar Industry in Pernambuco was founded in November 20th, 1941.

In 1990, when the alcohol was in included in its objectives, it began to be called Union of the Sugar and Alcohol Industry of Pernambuco – SINDAÇÚCAR.

SINDAÇÚCAR works for the development of the sugar and alcohol industry in Pernambuco and, among other activities, it elaborates studies, gives legal assistance to its associates, organizes collective work conventions, stimulates technological development, gives logistic support, develops statistics and participates in the conduction of the industry's policy.

Twenty two companies that produce sugar and alcohol are members of SINDAÇÚCAR.
